European Week: the exhibition

 

Each country was invited to be part of an exhibition through which it could share all the work done concerning Comenius project «GoEurope!» and the musical «Comenius in love», as well as some of the traditions that each country represented, namely national symbols, food, typical clothes. Two Portuguese cooks showed everyone around and taught what best describes our country – Portugal!

Cada país parceiro foi convidado a fazer parte de uma exposição através da qual pode partilhar o trabalho realizado no âmbito do projeto «GoEurope!» e do musical «Comenius in love», bem como algumas das tradições do país que representava, nomeadamente símbolos nacionais, gastronomia, trajes típicos. Dois cozinheiros portugueses vestidos a rigor deram a conhecer o que melhor caracteriza o nosso país!

 

European Week: «Portuguese Traditional Games»

 

During the European Week, which took place in Germany, May 2015, each country was responsible for organizing a workshop to teach something about itself. We organized one about Portuguese Traditional Games. The participants were taught how to play «Cabra-cega», «Ó vizinha, dá-me lume!» and «Macaca».

 

Semana Europeia: workshop «Jogos Tradicionais»

 

Durante a Semana Europeia, a qual decorreu na Alemanha, em maio de 2015, cada país ficou responsável por dinamizar um workshop através do qual ensinaria algo acerca de si próprio. O nosso país organizou um workshop acerca de Jogos Tradicionais Portugueses. Os participantes aprenderam os seguintes jogos tradicionais: «Cabra-cega», «Ó vizinha, dá-me lume!» e «Macaca».

During the European Week, which took place in Germany, May 2015, each country was responsible for organizing a workshop to teach something about itself. We organized one about Portuguese symbols, namely sewing sardines. The participants were taught the importance of some symbols in our country and sewed some sardines that were lately presented to the Comenius group.

Semana Europeia na Alemanha: workshop «Símbolos portugueses»

Durante a Semana Europeia, a qual decorreu na Alemanha, em maio de 2015, cada país ficou responsável pela organização de um workshop através do qual ensinaria algo sobre si próprio. O nosso país organizou um workshop sobre símbolos portugueses, nomeadamente as sardinhas, entre outros. Os participantes aprenderam mais acerca dos símbolos associados ao nosso país e produziram alguns, artesanalmente. As sardinhas que coseram e criaram foram, mais tarde, apresentadas ao grande grupo.

 

Exploring Germany: Trip to Berlin

After we left Koethen to go back to our home country, Latvia, on our road back 

we decided to visit the capital of Germany – Berlin. Before visiting the center of Berlin, we went to a shopping mall called A-10. We did some shopping for about 4 to 5 hours and then we continued our trip. We saw places such as Reichstag and the Brandenburg gate. Berlin was a beautiful city and so was our Comenius adventure!

The farewell party

Even though it was the last day, everyone was in a good mood. And so, since the musical that everyone was so into, finally finished. It was time to party! We were at this fabulous spot which had a lake (you could ride on it!) and lot of place for activities such as volleyball, football. It also had a café in which you could buy food and drink with coupons! I thought it was an amazing idea. The party itself was so fun - we played games, talked, danced…but all good things end sooner or later. With an emotional song playing in the background, people hugged, said the last words to friends from different countries. It was really sad to leave, but I hope that one day we will all meet again! Thank you, Comenius!
