Este musical espelha a cultura de sete países muito diferentes, também em termos musicais. No nosso próprio país, encontramos essa diversidade, no folclore tradicional, no fado, na música pop de artistas portugueses… Ao som do malhão minhoto, de David Carreira, de Buraka Som Sistema, de músicas e coreografias criadas pelos alunos, os ensaios continuam com toda a energia e motivação!

To rehearse, to rehearse, to rehearse…!

This musical mirrors the culture of seven different countries, also in terms of music. In our own country, we could find this diversity, in the traditional folk music, in fado, in pop music of Portuguese artists… To the sound of Malhão minhoto, David Carreira, Buraka Som Sistema, lyrics and choreographies created by students, the rehearsals continue with all the necessary energy and motivation!

E agora… mãos à obra!

Concluídos os esboços dos figurinos das nossas personagens, pusemos mãos à obra! Para a construção dos fatos, contamos com a preciosa ajuda das mães de alguns dos nossos alunos, que, muito talentosas, contribuíram também para a concretização deste projeto, pondo em prática o verdadeiro sentido de comunidade escolar. Um especial obrigada a quem nos ofereceu o seu tempo para tornar reais as ideias dos nossos alunos.

And now… It´s time to sew!

Once the students have finished the sketches for the costumes of our characters, it was time to sew! In order to do that, we could count on the help of some of our students’ mothers, who, very talented, have contributed to make this project come true, giving sense to the real sense of «school community». We are very grateful to those who have offered a little bit of their time to make real the ideas of our students!

Deixe que a música o abrace e desfrute da história de vinte anos do Comenius enquanto uma experiência rica, na voz de sete diferentes países: Portugal, Eslováquia, Itália, Alemanha, Letónia, Turquia e Polónia. É um prazer convidá-lo a assitir ao musical «Comenius in love» e a participar na Semana Europeia, um evento internacional que decorrerá em Köthen, na Alemanha, no dia 3 de maio de 2015, pelas 18h00. Portuguese symbols – exhibition at school

Our research about Portuguese symbols led us to prepare an exhibition in order to share with the members of the school community what we have discovered till then. The sculptures and drawings that were exhibited were made by students.

Portugal – um olhar simbólico

São variados os símbolos que surgem associados ao nosso país e que são marca da nossa identidade. Partimos em busca de símbolos portugueses, reflexo da nossa história, do nosso povo. Ficamos surpresos com a quantidade de símbolos que existem e que, agora, partilhamos com os nossos parceiros: a sardinha, a andorinha, o galo de Barcelos, a guitarra portuguesa, a caravela, o fado, o coração em filigrana, entre muitos outros.

Portugal – a symbolic look

There are many different symbols that we can associate to our country and that reflect our identity. We tried to discover them, our history, our people. We became very surprised with the enormous number of symbols and we now share them with the other Comenius countries: the sardine, the swallow, the roaster from Barcelos, the Portuguese guitar, the vessel, Fado, the filigree heart, beyond many others.

Oficina de design e modelagem

A preparação do musical «Comenius in love» requer a construção de figurinos. Para tal, precisámos da ajuda de uma especialista, a qual nos deu umas dicas acerca de design e modelagem. Esta oficina com uma profissional da Modatex foi muito produtiva e uma boa ajuda para os primeiros esboços dos figurinos das nossas personagens.

Workshop about design and modelling

The preparation of the musical «Comenius in love» demands making all the costumes for the characters in the play. In order to do that, we needed the help of a professional, who gave us some hints about design and modeling. This workshop with someone working at Modatex was very productive and a good help to start drawing the first sketches.

Elaboração de um poster para divulgar o evento

Como sabem, o resultado final deste projeto consistirá na apresentação de um musical, na Alemanha, em maio de 2015.

No sentido de este evento ser divulgado nacional e internacionalmente, os sete países parceiros foram desafiados a elaborar diferentes esboços de posters e a apresentar um como representativo do seu país. Os sete posters finais irão a concurso, em setembro, no encontro que decorrerá na Letónia, para que, depois, se possa divulgar o escolhido e publicitar a apresentação final do musical. Mais uma vez, os nossos alunos deram provas do seu empenho e criatividade!

Posters for the event

As you know, the final result of this project will be the presentation of a musical - «Comenius in love» - in May, 2015.

In order to share our intent national and internationally, the seven countries involved were challenged to make sketches of possible posters and choose one as representative of its own country. The seven posters will be voted in a contest and the most voted one will be used to advertise the event. Once again our students proved to be very creative!
